Our team is playing great

I'm getting sick of hearing those namby-pamby twenty year-olds complaining about how their sides ache after a hard practice. Well, that's what's supposed to happen. Their bodies are an eighth the age of mine; they can handle it.
That means twenty more laps around the pitch for the Falcons. If I hear it again, there'll be me and ten minutes of body positions to answer to.

We lost our game on the 26th;
damn injured wrist. If I hadn't sprained it, the Imperius would have been better than ever, and we would have won. Damn players. They aren't working hard enough
we've been working our arses off since then. Sent a few of the boys puking after today's practice, but that's how hard we should be working. Pain's the weakness leaving your body, boys.
I hate meetings with the League. There's talk about shutting Quidditch down for a month, have you heard? Apparently the stadiums' security systems all need to be updated. The League's sorting it out with members of the Ministry and stadium janitors. If we get shut down, they'll be hearing from me about it.

We're the only undefeated team of the season. Keep up the good work, Falcons-- I expect to see everyone at practice bright and early Monday morning, no excuses. And if any of you come in with hangovers, there'll be double the drills waiting for you.
curse is going better this year than last. I haven't got Brocklehurst on my team anymore, which makes things easier-- couldn't keep him controlled if a Hippogriff stomped on him and laid him flat. I got a lot better at maneuvering 'em after three years with him, so I don't regret it, but if I was ever close to getting caught with it, he was it. Now I'm a lot more careful with how I do things.
My wife and I have been to a charity ball too many with this one; the ice sculptures melted all over everything. People should be more competent. If they were on my Quidditch team, I'd whip 'em into shape until the augeries flew home.

Had the Flints over to dinner last night-- Libby and Magnus, that is. Libby's the one my wife and I wanted, since she's a League official and we've got that meeting coming up sometime next week, but you can't get her without asking her husband along for the ride, as it is with most marriages from my day-- it's getting to be unusual to see a husband and wife who get along anymore, from the younger generation. Divorce rates have gone through the roof, if anyone's been keeping track. What a shame.
Speaking of the league meeting-- should be all head coaches (the Magpies have got a new one, I've met him on several occasions-- and like him already, which means more competition for us in the future) and everyone from the League and the Magical Games and Sports representatives, the funding committees and I think Ludicrous Patents is sending in a man or two because of all of the wacked-out ideas they've been getting in past years. They really should just get used to it; they're Ludicrous Patents, after all.

. Happy marriages aren't the only statistic falling down the tube-- the number of sportswriters and fans who know what they're talking about is equal to the number of hairs I have left on my head. At least one of them is on the right track.
